It was a delicious birthday lunch for my husband at such a gorgeous location. Our lunch meal was very tasty, service excellent, and the ice cream from the very cute ice cream shop on the grounds was fabulous (made in-house)! Definitely will return to this quaint location in the near future and hope to try the wood oven pizza next time.

Gorgeous looking place, but the power was out when we went so we could not eat, drink, or enjoy their famous homemade ice cream.
Talk about stepping back in time, think 1890-1920, this is the place for time travel. The Opinicon has been around for a very long time but in recent years it’s had new owners. So fortunate for everyone that they have deep pockets and could revive the place. This is a most amazing resort for fishermen, people wanting a break, special occasions or just dropping in for a meal. The restaurant is amazing and their ice cream parlour something to really talk about. For an amazing meal with the most amazing ambience, this is the place! The drive from Ottawa or Kingston, or anywhere, is on some of the most beautiful highways that Ontario has to offer....spoil yourself!!!
Very nice bar, nice service and good food! It's very relaxing to sit and enjoy a drink there. Excellent experience biking here with my sister!
Update. We have been here a few times now and it’s always a wonderful visit. The drive alone is worth it since it’s so peaceful and scenic. But the food, drinks, service, and ice cream are all top notch as well. We went for our anniversary and were made to feel very special (shoutout to Maverick for helping with that). 5/5 during each and every visit we’ve had.
Love the Opinicon! We usually visit during the summer months, and always enjoy the food, ice cream and atmosphere. wonderful service too! We dropped in this weekend for a Christmas craft fair and a quick bite to eat in their pub. Very friendly staff, and beautiful surroundings!
We made our last trip across the lake and were fortunate enough to have an ice cream cone during the annual scoop out. We also spent several evenings with food and libations in the dining room and pub. It's always delicious! Have a good winter, old girl, and we will see you next year!
